The business continues to evolve and as professional photographers we want to continue to anticipate and meet the needs of the marketplace.
In this climate of change where will you take your photography and career?
To further the ASMP mission of photographers helping photographers, we have created an all-new ongoing program called Mutual Mentoring Groups.
Here is the recipe:
We will create a series of groups of up to six photographers, all ready to take some aspect of their business to the next level. Through regularly scheduled meetings and a structure designed to provide a safe, trusting, and supportive environment, each member develops their own goals, both short and long term. Within the group, we serve to encourage, motivate, and problem solve for each other as we take the steps to meeting our goals no matter what stage of our careers we are in.
The result:
Photographers not only surviving in these changing times, but thriving.
As professional photographers, we are required to handle all aspects of running a business, not just creating beautiful visuals. We also know, in that classic struggle between left & right brain activities, too often the right brain creative play will dominate our days when the business may really need a good dose of left brain business development work. Or perhaps, the inverse: too much time handling the details and not enough creative play to keep our work fresh. Either way, we could all use a little motivation to keep ourselves on track with support from those who know our situations the best - other photographers.
Who wouldn't benefit from a great mentor?
The groups will be judgment free and members may be at any stage of the their careers. By being accountable to and supportive of each other, we all win.
