Ballot Statement: My name is Joseph Pobereskin and I’m standing for election to ASMP’s Board of Directors.
Over the course of my career I’ve been a tireless advocate for, and I’ve worked hard to advance, photographers interests as an ASMP Chapter director, a chapter Vice President (Chicago/Midwest) and a chapter President (New Jersey); as well as having been one of the principal founders of another trade association: Stock Artists Alliance, which my friends and I built from the ground up. Additionally, I’ll bring all of my energy, passion and dedication to the job of Director.
Among my goals for ASMP are:
“Joe makes a constant stand for photography, photographers and their rights. He has his finger on the pulse of all that happens in the business from the newest equipment to the latest issues facing us. Somehow he manages to stay in-touch with all that matters to him, shoot and write a blog on top of it all…. He’ll be a real asset to the national board.” Ellen Denuto, VP, ASMP New Jersey
“Joe has been and will continue to be a tireless advocate for photographers. Because of his work with copyright and licensing I can think of no better person I’d rather have serve on our national board.” Von R Buzard, Secretary, ASMP Chicago/Midwest
“Diligence and a straight-forward approach based on his experience in media, along with his past performance on his local board and chapter. His clear advice will serve the national board as well.” Matthew Pace, President, ASMP South Florida
“There is no one in ASMP that is more dedicated to the field of professional photography and to photographer’s rights. Also Joe has many years of experience in the field and is well known throughout the photographic community. He’s been known to go out of his way to help any fellow photographer in need with equipment and/or advice. He will be a great asset to the ASMP National Board.” Thomas Stillman, President, ASMP New Jersey
“Joe’s proven to be organized and thorough, he takes initiative and follows through quickly. Joe has great ideas for programs and keeps a keen eye on local and national issues effecting photographers. He has a great sense of humor, keeps meetings fun, and is a pleasure to work with.” Liza Littlehawk Moraitis, VP, ASMP Chicago/Midwest
